Inspired by our love of Spain's traditional and modern dining experiences, Aro (Spanish for “ring”) symbolizes the people who came together to bring an authentic Spanish tapas bar to Buffalo. Aro offers guests the unique “small,” “medium,” and “large” plate options pioneered in cities such as Barcelona and San Sebastián, celebrating the culinary world’s most influential and whimsically creative cuisine.

following their graduation from the culinary institute of america, chefs scott and monica kollig have worked for noted chefs at several of the country’s best restaurants. scott’s work at josé andrés’s minibar, wylie dufresne’s wd-50, and michael mina’s wit & wisdom reflected his passion for modern spanish and american cuisines, while monica’s focus on pastries led her to the kitchens of daniel boulud’s cafe boulud, patrick o’connell's inn at little washington, bryan voltaggio's aggio, and cindy wolf’s cinghiale. aro fulfills scott’s dream of returning home to western ny and opening a spanish restaurant.
